A Leap of Faith

Uno and I were inside the car parked in one of the malls in Ortigas.  We were just talking about things in life. Bago pa kami nun.. But the topic moved to a different level: how we see ourselves getting married.  The amazing part was when we discovered that we both wanted to get married in a small church with our immediate families and closest friends. How we want it to become so solemn during the ceremony yet to become a big celebration come the reception for our dear families and friends. "It's going to be a celebration and not a production". We were both teary-eyed for 2-3 hours while talking only about nothing but our dream wedding.  "Oh God, I think this is it!" The most intimate wedding that we can ever imagine! That was one memorable night that I cannot forget.

Fastrack: Months passed by. A lot of things happened to the point that we almost gave up.  Despite so many attempts to hold on, I guess it wasn't enough. Until we found God. One day, when all of our dreams seems to be shattered and when all our hopes are getting low, we found Him. We found God to the point when we wanted to give up.  We found God to the point when we are almost ready to take separate ways.

After all the trials and still realizing how we love each other, that was the time that we went back to the old lane and recalled the night we were talking about how we see ourselves getting married. We never thought that we will decide to get married this early.  But both of us realized that it's now or never.  We are giving up everything to the Lord. And this includes by taking a leap of faith.

To our parents whom we were able to stun the first time they knew about our decision, we thank you for giving your blessings despite everything that happened.  To our siblings and relatives, thank you for giving your support to our relationship.  To our dear friends, thank you for being there and still wanting to share our Big Day with us despite the roller-coaster ride. :)
