Confessions of a Bride-To-Be

There have been a lot of stories related to wedding preparation. The joy and excitement when you first heard the proposal of your fiance. The happiness that it brings you when you register and visit each Bridal Fair in town. Lots of people getting excited fort the soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. and a lot of happenings that you felt like you are the most beautiful woman in the world.

Behind those smiles are the untold stories of a little girl suffering from different series of wedding preps attack.

Here you shall witness them all. :)

1. Who Proposed to Whom?
Did Uno really propose to me or was it the the other way around?  It was a stormy month for both of us. We were hit totally hard that time. All we did was to pray that He may shower us with all the strength that a couple can have to be able to stay stronger together. That was the same month that we decided to get married.  Maybe it is a mistake for others but for us, it's the thing that can settle everything.

2. Different Views
Then we are set with the date, outlined the plan and asked my parents about their blessing. However, it maybe our fault, too: we didn't get a favorable response from Uno's parents :(  Maybe dahil masyado pang maaga? Dahil they don't feel that we are ready na? There maybe a lot of possible reasons but we never questioned their response.  In fact, as the good son and daughter of our respective parents as we are raised to be one, we took it as a challenge. We never argue about their opinion. I felt the need of working doubly hard to get their support. Sabi ko kay Uno "Sige, paghihirapan natin ito. I'll win their hearts and let us move the date na din."

That's the time that we decided "again" to move the date to 11-11-11.  Happy and God's blessing.

3.  The Budget
We started with nothing. Yes we have our own individual savings but together, we have zero.  We said, kaya natin ito. We're the one who decided to get married so kailangan todo effort to get this done.  But even if we are starting with a small budget, we really both want a small and intimate celebration.  Not because we are on a tight-budget but we have learned from previous weddings that we have attended.  Big production, parang circus. Those have attended are not really close to the bride or to the groom. Uhm... yeah, bukod sa sayang pera per head (haha!) e I should have invited na lang talaga those that are really dearest to my heart.  This is going to be a Celebration and not a Production!  Tamaan 'wag magalit (peace tayo...)

It is a good thing that both our parents understand us well.  We will announce the Magic 100 soon! hahahahaha!
