The Hunt for the Perfect Wedding Invitation

When you say that you are getting married, the first thing that people asks you is "where is the wedding invitation?" Since it will be the queue to your D-Day, it shall make a statement that will show true innovation and originality as much as you can. :-)  That's how it goes in today's wedding society since the invitation that you will choose will give the guests an insight on how your wedding will be like.
First thing that you should consider is: you can do it yourself or let others do it for you. I prefer a DIY for my wedding invitation.  And while we are still in the hunt for the perfect invite, I will show here a few that I thought best fits today's brides. It doesn't follow though that when you opt to have others do your wedding invitation then it means that you have no say about it.  This is definitely a no-no.  From the layout to the type of cardstock or papers to be used to the fonts, etc, you are the paying client.

1. The main purpose of your invitation is to give your guest the details about your wedding.  Simply put, it should be concise to the point that it will properly send your guests the message that you would like to convey.

2. Your invitation should clearly state that you and your significant other are getting married and should give the details of when and where the ceremony and reception will take place.

3. There are invitations that are available in colors, shapes and styles.  But you have to be careful in choosing the proper layout to the point that it is so cryptic that even your guests will be mislead if it is really a wedding invitation.

4.  On the other note, you may like the look of a very casual invitation but if you are planning to have a very formal wedding, this invitation can give your guests the wrong impression and they may not dress appropriately for the wedding.  situation could result in your guests feeling embarrassed so to avoid this potential problem it is a good idea to ensure that the formality of the invitation is an adequate representation of the formality of the wedding.

5.  Finally, if you are planning a theme wedding your invitations should match this theme and should make your guests aware of the theme as well.

Your wedding invitation is the first chance for you and your fiance to make a good impression about your wedding.  Probably the most vital part of the wedding invitation is that it should be accurate.  By making a word check several times prior to the actual printing of the layout, it will surely make a statement no matter what the design is: that you are well-prepared for the event. :)
